really i don't have much to say, it is exactly as described on the tin. a vampire lovestory, inspired by 'Twilight' and 'The Vampire Diaries'. to say i was bored wouldn't be true but to say i was hooked would be a lie. i am on the fence. it was a pleasant read, no hurdles, but it was just nothing new, uninteresting if you must. the vampire world is left unchanged after this book. 

split between the choice of two families is no new story, but the size of each family felt unnecessary, so many names and characters were introduced that served little to no purpose to the storyline. i don't like wasting time, i guess that's why i like a book to grip me from page 1. i am blunt, straight to the point, fast paced, so perhaps if i had little chill i would have enjoyed this read a bit more. 

i'd say if you are a vampire lover, a fan of the pale faces, then this would be utterly enjoyable, an easy, fun read. for me it just didn't tick enough boxes as a standalone book. my mind is left unblown.
