ok ok ok don't hate. this is my first introduction to Freida McFadden's writing. on boxing day i went in blind and watched the film, simply for the sake of going to the cinema, i didn't even know the title. damn was i hooked. i don't ever watch films or tv so this was a rare occasion and i loved it. at no point was i bored and the twists at the end were just unguessable. oh and the cast was so well selected. anyway it is not a film review, so, i got myself the book after hearing there was 2 more!!! yipeee.Ā

The Housemaid

8/10

i wish i read the book before watching the film. if only i had known it existed. honestly i don't have a bad word to say, it was gripping, tense and page turning, i loved every second. it simply lost points because i couldn't stop imagining the film. god damn me.

The Housemaid's Secret

7/10

continuing the story, it was once again another Freida banger. i noticed that at no point did the read of had to of read The Housemaid to understand what was going on, very smart. this was my least favourite of the series but at no point unenjoyable.Ā

The Housemaid is Watching

7/10

ok she only dropped points because of the middle. i just zoned out a chunk of the book. i guess the characters were the same and not as interesting as when we first met them. BUT boy did it turn around. the twist was IMPECCABLE. thank you Freida. she really knows how to throw a spanner in the works.Ā

OVERALLĀ

8/10

don't be confused by my ratings. i am confused too. overall, you just have to read the series please, it was incred, my ratings are personal, and some are just mistakes i made like watching the stupid film first (which, yes i did think was better than the book). this is the best introduction to Frieda's writing.Ā
